David was born in Indiana but considers himself a Florida native since he has lived in the state since 1942. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1959 with a BS in Physics and worked on America's space program from 1957 until 1996. After retiring from Boeing, he owned and managed a business consulting firm until 2009. During that time, he took courses in advanced novel writing from Humber College and The Writers' Digest School.
David's wife died in 1999 and his daughter was murdered by a serial killer in 1979 at the age of nineteen. She is the inspiration for Julie Gustafson. His son, Geoffrey lives in Newberry, Florida with his wife, Dawn and they both work at the University of Florida.
He published his first novel, Psychic Redemption with Trafford Publishing in 2009. In 2006, he formed his own publishing company, Coreopsis Publications, LLC and published his next three novels and memoir through Amazon Create Space with the Coreopsis hallmark. He will celebrate his eightieth birthday in 2019 and is currently working on three novels.
